| Prenatal Massage: Also called “pregnancy massage”, prenatal massage is used to reduce stress, relieve aches and pains, increase circulation and help reduce swelling. If you are in your second or third trimester, the majority of the massage will be performed in a side-lying position. You will be securely draped and pillows are strategically placed for your comfort. This type of massage is performed by a certified prenatal massage therapist. This certification ensures that you get the best care possible and receive the maximum benefit from your massage. Prenatal massage is only used for low-risk pregnancies. Please make sure you check with your doctor prior to your first prenatal massage. Prenatal massages are customized to each woman’s individual needs. |
